A 61-year-old woman was in serious condition last night at Massachusetts General Hospital after being struck in Revere, state police said.

Trooper Nicholas Fiore's preliminary investigation found the victim stepped out onto Revere Beach Boulevard between two parked vehicles when she was hit by a 2011 Kia Soul driven by a 54-year-old man from Lynn.

An 8-year-old child was also in the car, police said. Neither the driver nor the child were injured.

No charges were pending.
